This pair of ridges may have been the floor of a meandering river on Mars.


The loop at the center of the picture appears to be the inverted form of a former meandering stream that was cut off as the channel adjusted its course. The floor of this cut-off meander likely became a ridge because it was more resistent to erosion than surrounding land.
